MY STORY

Handing your dog over to someone new isn't nothing. Here's how I ended up doing this work, and why I take it seriously.

I found my way to San Francisco while pet-sitting for a family friend. After working as a professional copywriter for several years, I quickly discovered that caring for dogs was the work I was meant to do.

In 2023, my passion for dogs became my full-time profession. I spent two and a half years with a commercial dog-walking company. Through that experience, I came to value the importance of keeping this work small and personal. Dogs thrive when they have consistency, connection, and a sense of community, whether that’s with a friendly pack, a dedicated walker, or both. That's why I keep my client list small: so your dog gets the same walker, the same routine, and a real relationship, not a rotating cast of strangers.

In 2025, I took the leap to start my own business, dedicated to giving every dog the care (and joy!) they deserve.

And that's the whole idea behind Olive Walks Dogs: the same care I'd want for my own dog, every single day.

MY APPROACH

My work is intentionally small so I can provide a thoughtful, individualized experience—no overcrowded vans or impersonal “hotel-style” boarding environments. I prioritize building genuine relationships with each dog, ensuring they feel safe, understood, and at home in my care.

My approach centers on positive reinforcement, comfort, and individuality. Dogs, like people, thrive when their unique needs are understood and embraced. I tailor each walk to who they are: some dogs prefer a leisurely stroll, while others enjoy more active off-leash time. Some crave routine, while others thrive on variety. I meet each dog (and their humans) exactly where they’re at.

I also take pride in supporting local businesses. From water bowls to leashes, I source gear from San Francisco favorites like Bernal Beast, Cole Valley Pets, The Animal House, Noe Valley Pet Co., and Wildebeest.

Whether it's a zoomie in the park or a relaxed neighborhood stroll, I'll make sure your dog has a blast…and a good nap after, too!
